Harekala Hajabba to receive Padma Shri Honour on November 8

Mangaluru, 21 Oct 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Akshara Santha Harekala Hajabba, the orange seller who built a school for children of his  village with sheer determination and a single minded vision, will be receiving the Padma Shri honour from President Ram Nath Kovind at a ceremony to be held in New Delhi on November 8.

Hajabba was selected for this highest honour in 2020. However, last year the  award presentation ceremony could not be held due to the Covid pandemic.

This year, the  Award presentation ceremony would be held at the Ashoka Hotel in the national capital on November 8.
