Bhatkal: : Highest Single-Day Spike Of 45 new Coronavirus cases

Bhatkal, 06 July 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: In the Higgest single-day spike ever, Bhatkal has recorded more than 45 new positive cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. With news cases, taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 435.

According to an official source, Among the infected are the doctors of the taluk hospital, the private hospital and the private testing lab staff, it has not been ascertained from where these doctors, nurses and paramedic staff have acquired the infection. The figure includes doctors, nurses and paramedics from Private and state government-run facilities.

No epidemiological investigation of the cases were done. So there is no clear segregation on how many contracted the disease at workplace and how many got it from the community.

Out of 45 Infected people in Bhatkal, 11 are women, 1 young women, 1 girl, 19 men, 7 young men and 6 boys.

So far 177 people have been infected in Bhatkal and 55 have been cured. 122 continued to be treated.
