Bengaluru, 08 Jan 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: In a number of tweets, former Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah alleged that the claim by many Karnataka leaders of receiving flood relief funds in two tranches of 1200 crores and 1869.85 crores as fake news spread by them.
He also said that according to state government officials only Rs. 669 crores of funds were received in the second instalment as opposed to the claim made by state BJP.
CM Yediyurappa had earlier stated that the Centre government will release Rs. 1869 crores in addition to the Rs. 1200 crores released earlier. These amounts will be sent in phases.
BJP’s Karnataka Twitter handle reacted to Siddaramaiah’s tweets stating that nobody can defeat the Congress in running fake news as all know how his government ran the “Lies Bhagya” scheme from 2013-18.
