Mangaluru, 02 Apr 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: The long time pending demand for repair of road leading to Badibagilu, Orumbalu and Lavathadka in Noojibalthila village in Uppinangady not seen attention, the residents have decided to boycott the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The villagers have been demanding asphaltation of the road in Noojibalthila for the last several years. In spite of the promise, the mud road has not been developed so far. Over 100 families are dependent on the six-kilometre mud road to commute.
The mud road turns into a slush field during monsoon. While in summer, the dust emanating from the road inconveniences the pedestrians.

Sridhar Kampa, a resident, said, “We will not withdraw our decision till our demands are met.”
