Foot bridge will be constructed to facilitate D.K school children: Minister Khader

Mangaluru, 27 Jan 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: In order to ease the crossing of rivers and streams for the school children, the construction of 221 foot bridges at various places in the Dakshina Kannada district at the cost of Rs 31 crore has been proposed. Tender has been called for the construction of 80 foot bridges in the first phase," informed District in-charge Minister UT Khader.

He was delivering his Republic Day message after hoisting the national flag at Nehru Maidan during D.K district-level Republic Day celebration.

"The World Bank has granted Rs. 23.3 crore financial assistance to take out 8 package works following the landsliding and flood disasters. These works are in progress," the minister said.
