Bantwala: Two houses burgled with valuables worth lakhs

Bantwala, 22 Oct 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Miscreants broke open the locks of two houses and made away with valuables worth lakhs at Irvathur on Saturday late night.

The houses belonging to Hasanabba and Yusuf were burgled. The Miscreants barged into the house of Hasanabba by breaking open the lock of back door of the first floor when the family members were at the house and made away with around 40 gram gold ornaments.

The daughter of Hasanabba was married to Madanthyar. Since her husband is in abroad, she came to her father's home as there was holiday for school. She has kept her ornaments in the first floor room and they were stolen, it is said.

In the same way, the thieves barged into the house of Yusuf from backdoor when the family members were sleeping and stolen Rs 55,000 cash, said in a complaint.

Bantwala ASP Sonawane Rishikesh Bhagvan, Belthangady Circle Inspector Sandesh and Punjalkatte police visited the spot. Sniffer dogs squad, Forensic experts visited the spot.
