Bengaluru: Without any notice, BBMP demolishes 400 houses overnight

Bengaluru, 20 Aug 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: In an overnight operation, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) demolished 400 tin-roofed houses at Kariyammana Agrahara near Bellandur saying that it violated the buffer zone regulations.

As many as 1,500 people lost roofs over their heads in the operation carried out by BBMP authorities on August 18. The families residing in the houses said that they were not issued any notice before he demolition.

People from Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal were living in the houses since eight years.
