Norwegian police launches terror probe on mosque attack
STOCKHOLM, 13 August 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Norwegian police on Sunday launched a terror investigation into an armed attack on an Afghan mosque in Baerum city. A 21-year-old gunman on Saturday was arrested after he attacked the Al-Noor Islamic Centre in Baerum, around 20km from Oslo. The attack took place one day before the Muslim religious holiday of Eid al-Adha. "The attacker is Philip Manshaus, a Norwegian citizen known for his anti-immigrant and far-right views," local broadcaster NRK cited Oslo Police Chief Rune Skjold as saying. 6 al-Shabaab militants killed, villages liberated
MOGADISHU, 02 Sep 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: At least six militants belonging to insurgent group al-Shabaab have been killed and nine others reportedly wounded, after Somali National Army (SNA) launched a military operations, in Southern province of Lower Jubba on Sunday. An SNA radio broadcast claimed that the operations took place near the town of Jamame, Lower Jubba north of the port city of Kismayo, the administrative capital of Jubaland province. During the operation several villages were liberated from the al-Shabaab, according to SNA radio. “Somali National Army killed six al-Shabaab militants and injured nine others, near Jamame town. Cuba sending doctors, educators to Bahamas after Dorian
Ankara, 05 Sep 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Cuba announced Wednesday it would send a number of doctors and teachers to the Bahamas as that Caribbean islands struggles in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian. Cuba’s Ambassador to the Bahamas Ismara Vargas told the state news agency, Prensa Latina, that 60 workers have been sent and will assist local authorities.
