Turkey, Iran should join forces to help Islamic world

TEHRAN, 01 Dec 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Turkey and Iran need to work together to find solutions to the problems of the Islamic world and for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, the head of Turkey's Religious Affairs Directorate said Friday. Ali Erbas made the remarks during a meeting with Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in the Iranian capital of Tehran. US should change its mind on Iran sanctions: Turkey

BURSA, 02 Mar 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Turkey is looking for the U.S. to change its mind about Iran sanctions, Turkey’s foreign minister said on Saturday. Speaking at an event hosted by the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mevlut Cavusoglu emphasized the importance of economic ties between countries. “The Iran sanctions affect us, but through constant efforts, we became one of the countries exempted. This was initially done through May, but we're trying to extend that period,” he said. “We’re working hard for the U.S. to change this decision. We’re not alone. Turkey warns West against ignoring Islamophobia

ANKARA, 21 Mar 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Turkey warned the West on Wednesday about ignoring Islamophobia, saying doing so could fuel further deadly attacks.  "Ignoring Islamophobia can lay the groundwork for similar terror attacks” as last week’s New Zealand mosque attacks, said Turkey’s National Security Council in a statement, adding that those attacks showed hostility towards Turkey, referring to anti-Turkish messages in the terrorist's manifesto.
