Bantwal, 16 Jan 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Thieves who broke into a house at Sangabettu village by breaking open the locks have decamped with cash and valuables worth Rs 4.65 lakhs. The occupants of the house were away when the theft took place.
The house belonged to Nazeer Ahmed. The stolen valuables include 12.5 sovereigns of gold jewellery apart from Rs 2 lakh cash. Nazeer owns a shop at Kalasa and his family had been there to attend a religious function.
Bantwal Police are investigating the case.
